Fundación Laboral de la Construcción presents the ‘NaturBuild’ project at the Firamaco Trade Fair

The project coordinator presented the course on green roofs to more than 40 people at its dissemination day, held in Alicante

Last Friday, 5th April, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción organised the dissemination event of the ‘NaturBuild’ project, during the Firamaco Fair, the Building Materials, Reform, Renovation and Energy Saving Fair, organised from 4th to 6th April in Alicante (Spain).

Esther Rodríguez and Marta Pérez, Training Projects Technicians at the organisation, explained the advantages of installing green roofs both for their contribution to reducing CO2 and the heat island effect of the urban environment, as well as for the savings in the energy costs of buildings due to the thermal insulation function that they provide for the building. During their presentation, they presented for the first time to the public the ‘NaturBuild’ online course on the benefits of green roofs, their installation, maintenance and deconstruction, which aroused the interest of the attendees in the subject, many of them showing their intention to take the training and complete their sectorial competences.

In addition, they presented other results of the project that have helped the consortium partners to know the status or situation of this type of roofs in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece in relation to regulations, climate, training proposals and the most famous constructions or those that constitute a good practice ‘eco’. Among the results, the interactive map was shown and the attendees were invited to browse the project website where they can find all these developments.
